Tulsa Workshop This Week!

The 2016 Tulsa Workshop is taking place this week at the fairgrounds in Tulsa, OK, and you’re invited!

There are around ten people from my home congregation who will be teaching in some capacity along with a whole bunch of our members attending.

I’m also very excited that Campus Ministry United merged their evangelism and disciplemaking workshop with The Tulsa Workshop this year. In terms of practical evangelism, CMU’s content is usually excellent. The classes and keynotes look solid all the way around – this will be a great time of fellowship and equipping.

Those of you interested in the disciplemaking series I’ve been writing on this blog should know I’ll be covering some of that material in a class in Tulsa. Look for the class entitled Characteristics of Evangelistically Effective Ministries at 3pm Friday in EX #4. If you can’t attend in person, you’re welcomed to order the recording after the workshop is over. They’ll be available to purchase at the event or afterward via workshopmultimedia.net along with lots of other great content.

I also highly recommend everyone attend Janice Wade’s class entitled Helping People Deal with Sexual Abuse at 2pm Saturday in Exchange #2. Many are unaware, but sexual abuse is rampant in our society today including our churches and homes. If you’re a church leader you may think it’s not a problem for your people, but the truth is your church is already inhabited by people who have abused and people who have been abused. Please check out her class.

There’s much more! To see the rest of what’s offered at this year’s Tulsa Workshop, view the schedule here. This is going to be a fun week!
