Comment on What’s the Difference Between the Old Covenant & New Covenant in the Bible? by andy buluran.

Jesus said, Matthew 5:17 “Do not think.”
So, do not think it was abolished.

Old Covenant is the Ten Commandments written in 2 stone tablets (Ex.34:28 & Deut.4:13) The Old Covenant (Ten Commandments) required the blood of the animals (Lev.17:11, Heb.9:22).
Old Covenant = take note: stone tablets

New Covenant is the Ten Commandments that was in the minds & on the hearts.
“I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God,
and they will be my people.” (Jer.31:33)
New Covenant = take note: minds & hearts

2Cor. 3:3 written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God,
not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
John 6:63 “The words I have spoken to you are Spirit & they are life.”
Matthew 4:4 “but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Jesus said, Matthew 5:17 “Do not think.”
So, do not think it was abolished. Because the word of God was God. (John 1:1)

Blood is required for the forgiveness of sins, Hebr.9:22
Jesus said in Matthew 26:28 “This is my blood of the covenant for the forgiveness of sins.

Hebrews 9:22 “the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.”

The difference between the Old & New Covenant: (Ten Commandments)
1. (Old)Two stone tablets, (New) minds & hearts
2. (Old) blood of animals, (New) blood of Jesus

I very much agree with you about the Sabbath,
also Jesus said in Matthew 2:27 “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.”

God was so good to man, he gave us rest day.
God oblige all people to have the rest day,
and on this rest day we can enjoy to go to the church.

Remember, Jesus Christ got angry with his mother Mary
& his brothers on the Sabbath day.

Matthew 12:48 He replied, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?”

Because Mary & his brothers should be the first to go to the temple on the Sabbath Day,
But, where are they?
They were outside of the temple.

So, Jesus Christ refused to know them, his mother & brothers, instead in his anger, pointing to his disciples that these who were in the temple are his brother & sister & mother . (Mat.12:49-50)
